PlayStation on the PC, yep you heard that right!
Sony’s PlayStation Now is a game streaming service that has been around for some time on PS4, PS3, PS Vita handheld as well as smart TVs.
The previous year it revolutionized the gaming experience, much to the delight of PC gamers, by introducing the service on Windows PCs!
The idea behind it is simple.
Think about Netflix and bring it into the gaming scene. Just like Netflix, here instead of downloading the games onto your gaming PC, you will be streaming the games over the internet on Sony’s servers.
Why can’t I run the game directly on my PC, thou ask?
I will tell you why. That’s because the code of the game is designed to be run on PlayStation, not on Windows PC.
Also, to emulate a PlayStation you would require a powerful graphics card, a mammoth Hard disk and higher RAM.
Here is what you do instead:
Subscribe to Sony’s PlayStation Now and play games on a liw spec gaming PC that barely requires an upgrade of any sort.
The minimum requirements for a system to run games via PlayStation Now are:
Windows 7 or higher
3.5 GHz Intel Core i3 or 3.8 GHz AMD A10 or faster
300 MB of Hard disk space or more
2 GB or more of RAM
Sound card; USB port
You will also need a DualShock 4 controller, the great thing about which is that you can plug it with a standard USB cable or use it with a USB Wireless Adapter.
Up until now, one could PlayStation Now and chill with 450 plus PS3, PS Vita and PSP games such as Red Dead Redemption and Uncharted 3 with a subscription fee of $99 per year.
That’s less than less than $9 a month!
This is all old news of course; what makes it more exciting is the new announcement by PlayStation Now:
We’re excited to announce that PS Now’s catalog is set to grow even further, as we’ll be expanding to include a new platform:
PlayStation 4 games……In the next few weeks, we’ll kick off a private test with PS4 games on PS Now.
If you’re an active PS Now subscriber, keep an eye on your email in case you get an invitation.
So gamers do as Senior Marketing Manager of PlayStation Now told you to for PS4 games are coming to Windows PC very soon.
There is still much to be disclosed however such as the number of PS4 games introduced as well as the subscription fee if there is any increase that is.
Who’s to say in the future you will not need a physical PlayStation at all!
Therefore any PC would do even though your experience would be much better with a custom gaming PC.
